Synopsis:
Sixteen-year-old Pavel lives under the oppressive rule of a controlling mother in a cold, memory-haunted house. After years of silence, he descends into the basement where his older brother Lev was once imprisoned.
There, the boundaries between past and present dissolve—Pavel relives childhood memories, revisits moments of complicity, and ultimately faces his brother one last time.
In doing so, Pavel opens the way for Lev’s symbolic escape and begins to break the psychological cycle that has kept them both trapped.
